Rolling out a Monster Rig Revisited

After the recent post about our Monster Video Production Rig several asked about the budget for the project so I have compiled a rough list of the costs.

Final Cut Computer:

- 8GB (2X4GB) PC25300 ECC Third Party Ram, not buying it from apple saves a ton (A TON of cash).

- Tannoy Reveal 5A – 5″ Biamplified Nearfield Monitors

    This is wonderful information. It is eye-opening for us as a church since we farm out all of our video production stuff. Bringing this kind of stuff in house will save money in the long run for sure but you better be prepared for initial investment for hardware. If you are starting from scratch you will also need to include some numbers for a good DV camera, lights, and backdrops.

    Great insight into what you’re putting into your computers – I’m sure that your media guy was totally stoked! I’m sure that if I pitched this to our media guy – he’d wet himself in excitement!
