ChipPC probably has the best form factor of any thin client but the reality is the software sucks. The graphics power also isn't that great but what do you expect from such a small device with no way to keep itself cool.

Word to the wise... the ThinOS gets new software updates (ICA clients/RDP Clients) very slowly. It's almost always behind because it is neither Linux nor Windows. Good luck getting any bugs fixed. So I would recommend to try another less proprietary device. Also if you think an "unpublished API" is more secure, just ask the millions who have been hacked using Windows. It has worse support for hardware than Linux, is very expensive to customize, and difficult to get decent support for. BTW, booting from TFTP is one of the worst ideas from a security standpoint, nevermind the single point of failure. What happens when 1000 of these devices boot up simultaneously? Here's to hoping no one far smarter than you gets on your network! Thin clients are an awesome idea but the Wyse Thin OS is crap.

I think that the thin clients would be an awesome alternative. We have thought about trying it for some time but haven't gotten to it. I knew they would work for RDP but I still wonder how they will work with Dymo label printers.
